Please review the below auto repair FAQs for answers to commonly asked questions about our services and the process itself. For additional information, please give us a call and we will be happy to answer all of your questions.
An estimate takes about 20 minutes of your time. Depending on the damage, it may take a bit longer. In a hurry? After one of our estimators takes a look at your vehicle, leave us your contact information and we can email the estimate to you when it is finished. For hail damage estimates, please plan to leave your car with us for a day. Our estimates are always FREE. Call and schedule your estimate today at (303) 278-1903.
The initial estimate will be based on a visual inspection of your vehicle. This means we will assess your car’s damage to the best of our ability based on what we can see without taking your vehicle apart. You will leave with a written estimate on what those initial repairs are and the cost breakdown. The estimator will go over the estimate with you in detail. Once you schedule your repair and we fully tear down (disassemble) your vehicle, we may find additional hidden damage. If there is additional damage, we will give you a full description of the additional work needed, a quote for the additional expense, and with your permission, we will repair it while working directly with you and/or your insurance company for approval on any additional costs.
We recommend bringing any documentation that was received from the insurance company involved in your collision. These documents can be emails, previous estimates, insurance claim numbers, contact information belonging to the insurance company (including names and phone numbers), and pre-issued insurance checks. It is also helpful if your vehicle is clean, as that will help us perform the best visual inspection of the damage.
Differences in collision repair estimates are common. A lower estimate is most likely based solely on a visual inspection, and might not include all of the true repairs needed. During the process of repairing the damage caused by the collision, additional auto body repair issues may be revealed. If you are not sure why one estimate is different from another, please ask us! We would be happy to go over the estimate in detail with you to help you understand the differences.
A supplement is typically an estimate for hidden or additional damage found during the tear down process after you drop your vehicle for repair. Supplements for hidden damage are extremely common because today’s vehicles are designed to protect the occupants by crushing from the “outside-in”. If we find additional damage, we will write a supplement outlining the additional work/parts needed and notify either the insurance company or the customer for approval to continue with repairs.
In the State of Colorado, under Colorado House Bill 03-1253, YOU have the right to choose the facility for the repair of your damaged vehicle. If your vehicle repair is going through an insurance company – they may require you to go to one of their preferred shops to get the initial estimate, however, they can NOT require you to go to a certain shop for the actual repairs. Any estimate can be taken to the repair shop you choose to repair your vehicle.
No! AutoSport Collision does the same quality repair whether it is insurance pay or customer pay. From minor scratches to major collisions our goal is a quality repair with customer satisfaction.
We can help you with this decision during the initial estimate, however, this is really a question only you can answer based on your personal and financial situation. From the repair perspective, remember the initial estimate is solely a visual inspection so there is a high risk that the final cost of the total repair will be higher than the initial estimate as many times additional damage is found during the tear down process

Not necessarily. If the other party has accepted liability, you do not have to contact your insurance company. However, if you start having issues recovering damages from the other parties insurance company, your insurance company may be able to help you recover your costs, including your deductible, from the other insurance company.
A deductible is the portion of your auto repair that you are responsible for paying if the repairs are covered by your insurance company. You can find out from your insurance company if a deductible is applicable in your case, as well as the amount of your deductible. The amount of your deductible is determined by your insurance company at the time your policy was purchased.
Insurance deductibles are due at the completion of the repair process. You will be responsible for paying this amount to the repair shop when you pick up your vehicle. Your insurance agent can answer any questions you may have regarding your policy, coverage, and applicable deductibles.
Payment is due when the vehicle repair is completed. If using insurance, any check issued to you for the repair, can be given to AutoSport Collision as payment. Any deductible is also due when you pick up your vehicle.
We accept credit cards, debit cards, insurance checks, personal checks (made payable to AutoSport with proper id) and cash.
We take pride in our workmanship and we guarantee our labor repairs on your vehicle for as long as you own it. Paint, sublet repairs and parts are subject to the guarantee of those suppliers. A written warranty is provided upon repair completion and must be presented when warranty work is requested.
We will be happy to schedule a rental car reservation when you are ready to repair your vehicle. The rental company requires a valid driver’s license and a major credit card. We will contact the rental car company, either Enterprise or Hertz to make your reservation. We will give them the date and time that a rental car is needed and they will meet you here at AutoSport Collision.
If your rental vehicle is from Enterprise, please contact Enterprise directly to find out if they would like the vehicle dropped off at AutoSport Collision or at the Enterprise office. Please do not return your vehicle unless an AutoSport associate has contacted you and informed you that the repairs have been completed. If you are unsure how to proceed with your rental vehicle, feel free to give us a call so we can assist you with the process.
